Terrell Williams (Higher Education M.S. '21, Educational Leadership & Administration Ed.D. student) was a co-presenter with Dr. Tadarrayl Starke (Higher Education M.S. '10, Ed.D. '19) during the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Student Success in Higher Education Conference. The pair presented a session titled "Developing Holistic Recruitment & Enrollment Strategies for Underrepresented Students."

Thomas W. Gretton (Sport Psychology Ph.D.) published an article in The Conversation examining how athletes are responding to the COVID restrictions for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo. The article, "Tokyo 2021: how COVID risks taking the fun out of the games," looks at the psychological effects on athletes caused by COVID restrictions, as well as the way that athletes recover psychologically after a performance. Gretton draws on research he conducted with Dr. David Eccles, professor of sport psychology.

Erika Fundelius (Special Education: Visual Disabilities Ph.D.) was selected by the Council for Exceptional Children - Division on Visual Impairment and Deafblindness (CEC-DVIDB) as the recipient of the 2021 DVIDB Research & Practice Grant. Her dissertation research focuses on current working knowledge of self-determination and instructional strategies used for instruction of self-determination by teachers of students with visual impairments.

Connor Oswald (Education Policy & Evaluation Ph.D.) received a dissertation an American Education Research Association (AERA)-National Science Foundation (NSF) dissertation grant. His dissertation is titled "The Best and Brightest: Investigating Florida’s Teacher Scholarship Impact on Teacher Recruitment and Retention."
