Tasha Weinstein (Instructional Systems & Learning Technologies master's student) received the 2021 Janyth Righter Innovation Award. Weinstein is the public media education and engagement manager at WFSU. The award, which was established in 2017, recognizes individuals who advance public media in Florida through innovation and creative thinking. Weinstein received the award in part due to her work creating and delivering educational content to families and educators during the quarantine. Read more about the award here.

Taryn Knuth (Sport Management B.S. '20, master's student) was nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award by FSU Athletics. Nominees must have earned a varsity letter in an NCAA-sponsored sport and earned their undergraduate degree. Knuth is an exemplary student and one of the best student-athletes in the history of the FSU indoor volleyball team.

Shakia Brown (Educational Leadership & Administration Ed.S. student) published a book, In the Midst: Having Faith in the Midst of Chronic Illness. The book serves as a journal to help individuals living with chronic diseases deal with emotional, physical, and spiritual challenges caused by their illness.
